Does rehabilitation work?

[Resurrected]

I have been thinking a lot lately; crime, race, causes, preventative measures, and who is to blame when people who have equal opportunity and ability to prosper, simply just do not.

For the purposes of this writing I only want to concentrate on rehabilitation of convicted criminals. Does it work for whites? For blacks? For hispanics and other non white/non blacks? Does one race benefit more from incarceration and rehabilitation than anther? Are there enough supportive programs put in place for “disadvantaged” youth, that can help prevent them from becoming hard core habitual criminals?

To answer these questions we have to look at some facts, information, and statistics. They have been presented before, but the information warrants repeating.

Percent of population of whites [including “white hispanics”] in America: 74%
Percent of population of blacks in America: 13%
Percent of population of non white/non blacks in America: 13%

Percent of violent crimes committed by whites in America: 45.9%
Percent of violent crimes committed by blacks in America: 52.1%
Percent of violent crimes committed by non white/non blacks in America: 2%

Percent of whites incarcerated for both violent and non violent crimes: 30%
Percent of blacks incarcerated for both violent and non violent crimes: 70%
Percent of non white/non blacks incarcerate for both violent and non violent crimes: included in the above 70%

  • The average Black commits interracial murder about 13.8 times more often than the average “White” (where “White: includes Hispanics etc.)
  • The average Black kills a “White” 15.9 times more often than the reverse.
  • Weapons violations are committed by Blacks at nearly 5 times the rate for Whites;
  • Blacks are caught receiving or buying stolen property at nearly 5 times the rate for Whites;
  • Blacks are involved in prostitution at almost 4 times the rate for Whites;
  • Blacks are arrested for drug crimes at over 4 times the rate for Whites;
  • Blacks are more than three times as likely as Whites to be caught at forgery, counterfeiting, and fraud, and almost three times as likely to be caught at embezzlement;
  • Blacks are more than 3 times as likely to be thieves as Whites;
  • Blacks are more than 4 times as likely to commit assault as Whites;
  • Blacks are almost 4.5 times as likely to steal a motor vehicle;
  • Blacks are more than 5 times as likely to commit forcible rape as Whites;
  • Blacks are over 8 times as likely to commit murder as Whites;
  • Blacks are more than 10 times as likely to commit robbery as Whites;
  • Nearly 25% of all Black males between the ages of 20 and 29 are in jail or on probation – this does not include those wanted or awaiting trial;
  • For all violent crimes considered together, Blacks are almost 5.5 times more likely to commit violent criminal acts than Whites

All this according to the FBI Uniform Crime Report.

Now we understand who commits most of the crime in America. Lets look at recidivism rates:

A study was done by a University of Cincinnati researcher on incarceration recidivism. The study included the following states: Arizona, California, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Texas and Virginia. [These represent two-thirds of the US prison population. Also, these states have some of the highest crimes rates in America.]

Numbers of prison population studied:

264,027 (90.1 percent) men
133,455 or 50.5 percent white, 130,572 or 49.5 percent African-American

26,849 (9.9 percent) women
12,884 or 48 percent white, 13,965 or 52 percent African-American

The results after the three-year observation period are as follows:

  • Nearly 65 percent of black males had recidivated
  • 56.6 percent of white males had recidivated
  • 53.5 percent of black females had recidivated
  • 46.2 percent of white females had recidivated

Its clear that blacks return to prison at a greater rate than whites.

Still though, why is this? Perhaps the next two stories can shed some light.

The Jena 6

There is an article titled: “Jena Six Case Shows Black Teens Get Short End of Stick“. From the looks of it they may not get the long arm of the law like they deserve.

The article speaks on the so called unfair treatment of six black Louisiana teens who viciously beat one white teen until he was unconscious and laying on the ground, where they continued to kick and hit him. There was such a huge outcry from the black community after the “judge tossed the book at them”. The black community, media, and leaders such as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton seized the opportunity to further their anti-white racist agenda by skewing the facts thus creating an even larger outcry that involved hundreds of thousands of protesters to rally for the teens who committed this extremely violent crime. Instead of the black community and well known leaders speaking out against the violence that the six teens committed, unprovoked, on the one white teen, they chastised the Judge and law enforcement for trying to give them harsh sentences.

Just think of what would happen if this same very large group of people used all the time and energy [and money, since many came from all over the US] they did to organize and attend the rally for the Jena 6 to actually try to do something to STOP black teens from committing violent crimes in the first place. Can you imagine the difference it would make to society as a whole? I can imagine the benefits, but the black community cant because they are only concerned about their own.

The instigator of the attack was Mychal Bell, a black football star. The judge wanted to try Bell who was 16 at the time, as an adult due to the fact that he “had been on probation since he committed battery on Christmas Day, 2005. Since then, in a period of less than a year, he was found guilty under the juvenile system of three other crimes -two violent assaults and one property crime -and this was even before [the Jena 6 attack].”

You don’t hear the black community and liberal media talking about his record though, do you?

Bell’s horrific behavior was reinforced by huge donations being given to the defense fund:

“Four hundred thousand dollars reportedly rolled in before lawyers took the case pro bono. Some of the money then ended up on the Internet, where one of the “Jena 6,” Robert Bailey, posted photos of himself and another defendant draped in $100 bills. The word in Jena -and no one is denying it -is that, thanks to the “defense fund,” Robert Bailey’s mother is now driving a BMW, and Mychal Bell’s mother has moved up to a Jaguar.” [source]

Robert Grimes murder case

A 15-year-old black male in Xenia, OH [Robert Grimes] who shot another man through the heart on Mother’s Day will be tried as an adult. The judge ruled as such because the teen is, “not fazed by the juvenile justice system.” Also stated was that, “past crimes involving firearms had a pattern of serious escalation.”

This “boy” didn’t learn the first time he was arrested, not even the second or third. Lets hope someone finally puts him in jail for good. Or will there be the same hue and cry from the black community who will pull the race card in his defense as in the Jena 6 case?

I believe I just answered my own questions. Since the black community rewards members of their own race for committing crimes with fame, fortune, and systematic dismissal of bad behavior, blacks will never benefit from ANY type of rehab program whether its prison or otherwise. Until the black community as a whole changes their rally schedule to include ones that harshly speak out against and castigate their brethren when they behave badly, commit crimes, don’t go to school, don’t go to work, and so on…. society as a whole will not see any kind of change in crime statistics. They better start talking loud, publicly, regularly, and on a grand scale before the white race as a whole will ever change their minds on how they view blacks. Additionally, the liberal, apologist main stream media also has to start reporting honestly, completely, and fairly. Media is a huge part of the problem and its high time they are called out and held accountable for the fraudulent reporting they spew forth.
